Motorola today (8 June) announced plans to release a ‘splash and dust-resistant’ touch-screen handset, the Motorola Wilder, in time for summer.
The manufacturer says that the compact handset is ‘perfect for users that wish to live life for the moment without worrying about damaging their phone in the process’.
Motorola Mobility international markets VP of marketing Andrew Morley said: ‘Motorola Wilder provides on the go consumers with a touch-screen experience that is splash and dust-resistant, offering a cost-conscious option that is still cool.’
‘The durable phone is a great addition to our device portfolio and was developed with our customer needs in mind. With integrated social media and a secondary notification screen, users can stay on top of what really matters to them, and being splash and dust-resistant, they can get into the action without worry.’
The Wilder boasts a durable 2.8-inch touch-screen, a two-megapixel video camera, social networking on the go as well as an FM radio and preloaded games.
The handset will be available to purchase from Carphone Warehouse from July for £49.95.
