Mobiles and laptops stolen in Carphone robbery

Thieves have escaped with several thousands of pounds worth of devices after robbing the Epsom Carphone Warehouse store on Monday (July 11).

According to local website Get Surrey, two suspects escaped the retailer with a number of demonstration mobile phones, two laptops and six Xbox Kinect consoles just after 11pm.

Police are now on the hunt for two suspects who loaded the stolen items from the store into a silver Audi TT.

The first suspect was wearing a dark coloured top, while the second suspect wore a grey hooded top with the hood up and dark trousers.

Investigating officer DC Simon Evans said: ‘This was clearly a planned burglary where the suspects knew exactly what they wanted and how to quickly getaway from the scene.

‘We are already following up a number of lines of enquiry including potential forensic opportunities on equipment left at the scene by the burglars.’

Anyone with information is urged to call Surrey Police on 0845 125 2222 quoting reference EP/11/3075 or to call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
