Mobile operator Three has hired Jonathan West as its head of indirect channels. West was previously the national sales manager at BSkyB, where he has been for the past nine years. Prior to this, West spent several years in the drinks industry.
In his new role at Three, Jonathan will be developing and managing the indirect channel strategy for contract voice, mobile broadband and pay-as-you-go lines of business.
Amanda Lambert, sales director at Three said: ‘Jonathan’s experience at Sky will give him a different perspective on our market that will lead us towards new directions and approaches. I am very much looking forward to working with him and together developing our team even further.’
Jonathan Smith will take on the role of sales manager for M2M and data services in the Wholesale department. Smith was previously business development manager at Wireless Logic.
He was previously with Wireless Logic for four years, where he was responsible for creating new partnerships with systems integrators and distributors in the M2M data market. Prior to this, he spent 10 years in the wireless industry in sales and product management roles.
In his new role at Three, Smith will develop and execute sales plans for 3G M2M services across new and existing channel partners, business customers and wholesale partners.
Three's director of wholesale Lynda Burton said: ‘M2M is a rapidly growing area for operators and Jonathan’s experience will give us a great position to grow. Three is undergoing a significant expansion of its wholesale offering and M2M is going to be a big part of that.
