MOJO Maker’s ‘youth’ handset MOJO Chat is to hit the Irish Market after the manufacturer signed an exclusive deal with Tesco Mobile.
The handset went into stores nationwide on 20 May and will be rolled out across 75 Irish Tesco stores from the 8 August.
The MOJO Chat, which is available in black as well as a pink and white variant, features a sleek, QWERTY handset, a video camera, an mp3 player and social networking capabilities.
MOJO Maker is a new entrant in the UK ODM arena. It owns the MOJO brand, which is short for ‘Mobile Joy’. The manufacturer said its handsets are aimed at fashion-conscious teenagers.
MOJO Maker founder and MD Caroline Preston said: ‘MOJO’ is an exceptional youth brand connecting with today’s fashion conscious mobile users. Our customers are street wise, expressive, passionate and self-assured about their look - owning a ‘MOJO’ device is a lifestyle choice. We don’t follow any trends - we build to suit today’s youth, we are energetic, dynamic and don’t mind being different.’
Tesco Mobile MD Noel Burrows said: ‘We are delighted to be able to offer the MOJO Chat pink/white handset exclusively through Tesco Mobile, which will complement our lowest ever rates. This will also increase our choice of the very best quality handsets – of all makes, models and price ranges.’
The MOJO Chat will be available for purchase in stores for €29.99 for a limited time only.
