Carphone and Phones 4u to sell BlackBerry Bold 9900 from 18 August

Carphone Warehouse, Best Buy and Phones 4u will be selling the BlackBerry Bold 9900 from 18 August. Phones 4u has also confirmed that it will be stocking the BlackBerry Torch 9860 and the BlackBerry Torch 9810 smartphones at a later date.

Carphone will be offering the Bold 9900 for free on a £31 per month contract, while Phones 4u is ranging it for free for £35 per month on a choice of networks. It is available to pre-order online now from Phones 4u.

Phones 4u said it would confirm pricing and availability of the two Torch handsets at a later date.

The Bold 9900 features a QWERTY keyboard design with a high resolution touch-screen and is powered by the new BlackBerry 7 OS. The 9900 uses the enhanced BlackBerry Browser and supports voice-activated Universal Search, augmented reality and NFC (Near Field Communications), allowing users to make purchases with the handset.

The Bold 9900 comes with a 2.8-inch high resolution touch screen, a five-megapixel camera that supports HD video recording and 8GB of expandable memory.
