Vodafone has become the first retailer to launch the BlackBerry Bold 9900, releasing the smartphone ahead of schedule.
The BlackBerry smartphone went on sale in stores and on the Vodafone website on Friday 12 August, four days earlier than the original release date of 16 August.
The BlackBerry Bold 9900, which is RIM’s thinnest smartphone ever, measures just 10.5mm and features a full QWERTY keypad and touch-screen display alongside the traditional BlackBerry Bold design.
It also boasts a 1.2GHz processor, a five-megapixel camera and full access to BlackBerry App World.
The BlackBerry Bold 9900 is available in stores and from the Vodafone website for free on a £41 per month, 24 month contract, which includes 1,200 minutes, unlimited texts and 500MB of mobile data.
