Sony Ericsson has announced the launch of its latest Android-powered Walkman smartphone, the Sony Ericsson Live with Walkman.
The manufacturer said that the handset is designed to deliver a ‘unique social music experience’.
Sony Ericsson has packed its latest handset with a range of music features, including a dedicated Walkman button that provides instant access to the music player and Sony’s xLOUD enhanced audio. Other features include a ‘Media Discovery Application’ that enables users to view all the latest music and recommendations, including those from their friends on Facebook.
The Live with Walkman phone also packs a 3.2-inch screen, a powerful 1GHz processor, a five-megapixel camera, a front-facing camera for Skype video calling as well as full access to apps on the Android Market.
Sony Ericsson head of product marketing Nikolaus Scheurer said: ‘Consumers want smartphones to deliver a rich and social entertainment experience. Rather than a one dimensional music experience, they want instant and seamless access to new content, combined with the ability to share and connect with their friends. The Sony Ericsson Live with Walkman provides exactly this, in a powerful package with great style.’
Sony Ericsson Live with Walkman is available in black and white variants and will go on sale in selected markets from Q4 2011.
