Fonehouse clinches consumer tariff deal with Three

Fonehouse has cut a deal with Three to sell the operator’s consumer tariffs in over 50 franchised stores and on its website.

The retailer already offers Three business tariffs as well as Vodafone and T-Mobile connections. This latest alliance marks a significant stepping stone for Fonehouse, which has ambitions to offer connections with all major UK operators to its customers.

The deal comes as Fonehouse prepares to open another eight franchised stores over the next two months. The retailer is aiming to have over 170 stores by the end of 2012.

Fonehouse commercial director Daniel Schama said: ‘We have been working on this deal for some time and we are pleased that we can connect Sim-free handsets from our existing range. This is a great start to our drive to increase our product and service range.’

Franchisees welcomed the move. Gary Souden, franchise owner of Fonehouse Coatbridge in Scotland, said: ‘Getting Three shows that the networks are backing Fonehouse, which is a fantastic sign that we are on the path to long-term success.’
