T-Mobile is targeting small businesses and sole traders by offering them a free top-end smartphone on a new 12 month tariff. The move is designed to provide businesses with a shorter term mobile commitment and more flexibility.
Customers will be able to choose from a range of free top-end smartphones with their tariff, including the HTC Desire S, HTC Wildfire S, BlackBerry 9300 and BlackBerry 9780.
The move follows customer research by T-Mobile which revealed that many sole traders and small businesses anticipate the next 12 months will be the tough, with over 70% expecting their revenue to decrease or stay the same next year.
The operator says that the new tariff is ‘designed to offer micro businesses and sole traders shorter term commitments and value to help them thrive’.
T-Mobile SME marketing director Martin Lyne said: ‘Micro businesses and sole traders have long been overlooked by mobile operators but it’s these groups that really need more quality, flexibility and value, without being tied into long-term contracts.
‘This is why we are offering the strongest range of free smartphones available on a 12 month business tariff. Our customers can now take advantage of both T-Mobile and Orange networks in the UK, following the merger to form Everything Everywhere.’
T-Mobile’s 12 month business tariff is now available in stores and online through its direct and indirect channels.
