Virgin Media customers now able to roam onto Orange network

Virgin Media has partnered with Everything Everywhere to offer its customers access to the Orange network in addition to the T-Mobile network it already uses.

The company says it has reached an agreement with Everything Everywhere to allow its customers to use either network from today (7 October). T-Mobile and Orange customers have already been able to use either network since October last year, following the creation of the Everything Everywhere joint venture.

All Virgin Media customers will be able to use both networks by the end of the year automatically. In the meantime, they will have to visit a website – www.virginmedia.com/coverage - or send the word Yes to 789777 to receive the benefits.

T-Mobile coverage will be labelled “Virgin”, whilst Orange coverage will be labelled “virgin” to differentiate the networks. The networks will both be free of charge.

Graeme Oxby (pictured), executive director of home phone and mobile at Virgin Media said customers will now be able to ‘benefit from enhanced mobile coverage’.
