Transatel has been chosen to handle all technical management of Everything Everywhere’s new state of the art machine-to-machine (M2M) service.
As the service is based on Transatel’s M2M solution, Everything Everywhere will be outsourcing to Transatel all of the technical management of its M2M activity.
The companies have been developing the service since January and claim it represents a new partnership suited to meeting the growing demand for M2M services.
Transatel claims that Everything Everywhere will benefit from the support by being able to offer its M2M customers greater flexibility in managing their Sim estate in order to support the M2M specific logistic and provisioning processes and cost-effective and innovative billing principles.
Last month, Everything Everywhere unveiled a partnership with US machine-to-machine specialists Raco Wireless as part of its ongoing assault on the M2M market.
The move followed the recent launch of the Everything Everywhere M2M platform and a similar partnership deal with Redtail Telematics to expand the operator’s M2M capabilities into vertical markets including health, education, logistics and transport.
Marc Overton, VP of wholesale and M2M at Everything Everywhere, has previously told Mobile that M2M is now a significant growth opportunity for Everything Everywhere.
