Former Everything Everywhere sales director Duncan Hay has been appointed MD of Shebang Technologies Group.
The appointment sees Shebang MD Iain Humphrey become the Group’s CEO.
Hay will take up the role on 1 January, assuming responsibility for the day to day running of the business. Humphrey will focus on new business opportunities and Shebang’s MVNO operations.
Humphrey said: ‘We are delighted to bring Duncan into the company, his depth of experience in the brand-led corporate world as well as his leadership and commercial skills will be key assets to Shebang.
‘His appointment will allow us to continue the rapid development of our Go Mobile Franchise proposition, b2b operations and online sales in the coming years, working in successful partnership with networks, distributors and manufacturers. Alongside this we will continue to lead in innovation throughout the mobile supply chain into 2012.’
Hay quit his post as sales director at Everything Everywhere in September this year. The operator said at the time that Hay had left to ‘pursue new opportunities.’
In his former post he had responsibility for all third party relationships across consumer and b2b sales. Prior to this he held trading director roles at Britvic and Mars, where he spent 18 years in a variety of functions including finance and marketing.
Hay's appointment is the latest in a series of high profile appointments at Shebang. The Group took on former Brightstar Europe marketing director Tanny Cordingley (nee-Price) as MD of its new b2b division in January this year.
In April the Group appointed former Everything Everywhere online sales director Steve Heald as its group commercial director.
