Everything Everywhere confirms spectrum sell off
Everything Everywhere has said it hopes to have advisors in place by the end of January to sell off part of its spectrum.
The company was told to sell off 2x15MHz of its spectrum by the European Commission as part of the conditions of the merger of Orange and T-Mobile. There had been suggestions Everything Everywhere would wait until next year's 4G auctions before holding the sale.
However, the company now plans to have advisors in place by the end of next month to lead a sale. A spokesperson said: 'I can confirm that Everything Everywhere is looking to appoint external advisors to provide us with independent professional advice on the sale of our 1800MHz spectrum.'
The spokesperson refused to comment on research from IHS Screen Digest that suggested the sale could net Everything Everywhere around £425m.
