Azzurri completes refinancing and appoints new CEO

Unified communications company Azzurri has appointed Vim Vithaldas as its new CEO and completed a debt refinancing process.

He was most recently at communications company Datapoint and replaces Mark Quartermaine, who resigned from the business to take up another position. Existing chairman Jim McKenna has also resigned and will step down as a non-executive director on 31 March 2012. He is replaced by Keith Taylor, who has a background in technology businesses.

Taylor said: 'The restructuring of our banking facilities and balance sheet is very positive news for the business and for its customers and partners. This puts Azzurri in a very strong financial position.'

Elsewhere on the board, Nigel Guy has been appointed non-executive director with Kay Ashton, Martin St Quinton and Stephen Day stepping down as non-execs.
