Motorola readies two handsets for European launch next month
Motorola has unveiled two 'budget-friendly' handsets for launch into Europe next month.
Pricing and a specific launch date for the Motoluxe and Defy Mini devices have yet to be confirmed. Both devices run on Android 2.3 Gingerbread.
Described as an 'ultra-vogue' handset, the Motoluxe has a four-inch touch-screen display. It also packs a front-facing camera and can muster up to 6.5 hours of talktime and 19 hours of standby time.
The Defy Mini has a 3.2-inch touch-screen and is both water resistant and dust-proof. The handset features a front-facing camera and three-megapixel rear-facing camera and offers up to 10 hours of talktime and 21 days of standby.
Motorola Mobile Devices UK general manager Andrew Morley described the phones as 'significant' devices among its 2012 portfolio. He said: 'We see these as good value propositions, mass market devices that are not as pricey as [standard] smartphones. We are targeting them at a broad range of UK customers.'
