Majority of Britons 'confused by data roaming'
More than 60% of British mobile phone owners are confused by data roaming, a new survey has claimed.
New research showed a large proportion of handset owners also do not fully understand 3G (56%), MMS (47%), Wi-Fi (43%) and Bluetooth (28%). More than half (52%) of the 1,680 people surveyed claimed data roaming was the ability to access content while on the move. Only a quarter could accurately identify it as the ability to access internet services abroad.
An overwhelming majority of phone users surveyed (81%) said they felt they had not been given sufficient advice on how best to use their device.
The survey was conducted on behalf of price comparison site goodmobilephones.co.uk.
