LG's Lewis quits as head of mobile

LG's head of mobile Warren Lewis has quit the business only five months after being appointed to the job.

Lewis replaced Jim Michel, who left the company in July to join Brightstar. A replacement has not been confirmed but the news comes just weeks before LG's appearance at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. Lewis had been with LG for almost five years, formerly heading up the company's IT Solutions and AE business.

An LG spokesman said: 'We can confirm that Warren Lewis will be leaving LG and thank him for his notable contribution to the business. We have a plan in place that will align with our priorities for 2012 and will confirm this in due course.'
