HTC reports steep fall in February sales
HTC is on course for a poor first quarter, with February sales down 36.79% on 2011.
The manufacturer had sales of NT$20.29bn (£435.2m) last month, down significantly on last year. Combined January and February sales were NT$36.91bn (£791.1m), down 45.01% on 2011.
The manufacturer has previously warned of a poor first quarter in 2012. Last month it predicted sales of NT$65-70bn, a fall of 36%. HTC began the first part of its fightback strategy at Mobile World Congress last week, when it launched the new One series of smartphones.
