20:20 wins handset recycling contract for Dixons Retail

20:20 Mobile has signed a deal with Dixons to provide it with an end-to-end mobile phone trade-in service.

The contract includes building a fully-branded website, customer fulfilment and call centre support, as well as onward disposal of handsets. Under the deal, customers will be able to trade in devices at www.curryspcworldtradeins.co.uk in return for a gift card that can be used in more than 600 stores nationwide.

Bob Gregitis, project and operations manager at Dixons Retail said: 'The new website and trade-in service makes complete sense within our total customer offer. It allows our customers to recycle unwanted devices and trade them in for an electrical item that they want and perhaps have to budget for.'

20:20 Mobile already provides Dixons Retail Group with accessories and devices, as well as contract airtime activations. Services director Jon Miller added: 'We have some aggressive growth plans for this year and have already secured a number of contracts in our recycling and insurance areas.

'The launch of the Currys/PCWorld trade-ins site underlines our ability to offer end-to-end solutions that are not only straightforward for our customers to implement, but that also offer great customer service, brand extension opportunities and added value.'
