Vodafone and T-Mobile reveal plans as new iPad goes on sale

Vodafone and T-Mobile have revealed their pricing plans for the new iPad. However, customers who have not already got their hands on the device will have to wait, with both operators saying the tablets will take several weeks to deliver.

T-Mobile is offering the 16GB and 32GB devices on pay monthly deals. The 16GB device is available for £229 on a £25 per month contract spread over 24 months. Customers get 1GB of data as well as an extra 1GB to use between 12am and 10am. The 32GB device is available on the same data plan and monthly charge but with a £279 upfront fee (or £249 for current T-Mobile customers).

Vodafone is stocking all three new iPad models. The 16GB tablet is available on a 24 month contract for £27 per month with an £199 upfront fee. Customers get 2GB of data and 1GB of data through BT Openzone Wi-Fi. Alternatively, they can pay £499 upfront and get 2GB of data and 1GB of BT Openzone Wi-Fi for £15 for 30 days.
