Daisy Group sets up specialist partner support team

Daisy Group has set up a new specialist partner support team because of the growth of products within its indirect channel.

The team will feature specialists in data, hosted IP technology and mobile and will work with the indirect account and sales teams. The group said the team will ensure a structure that gives a 'quote to bill' experience.

Daisy Group head of the indirect channel Andrew Wilson (pictured) said: 'We have injected subject matter experts into the new team so that we can enhance the product share among our business partners. Listening to the channel, we found that businesses want to enter new markets but are looking for a suitable partner supplier to help them get there. 

'Already we are seeing growth in these areas. Partners who have previously only sold a couple of products are now taking advantage of this greater portfolio. We call it "money for nothing and your sales for free!"'

The team consists of mobile specialist Simon Hunt Mason, business development manager Keith Adams, who joined from BT Business Direct, and sales manager in VoIP Chris Davis.

Wilson said setting up the new team had become more important after it diversified from selling solely network and mobile services in January 2011. He said: 'Since then we have grown substantially, doubling our product offering with the addition of Hosted IP Telephony and data services. The introduction of product experts into our team plays a valuable part in our objective for growth. It ensures our partners have the confidence they need to sell these cutting-edge technologies.'

The group works with more than 250 business partners, most recently launching a new managed internet range. It offers commission of up to £450 for bundle broadband and £750 for next generation SDSL products.
