O2 has unveiled a new unlimited minutes and text offer for businesses and consumers from £26 per month.
On & On launched today (30 March) and also includes 1GB of data per month. Customers can sign up to the deal for £26 with their existing phone, or from £36, £41 or £46 per month with a new device. The operator has slashed the prices of its iPhones to promote the offer. The iPhone 4S 16GB has a £59.99 upfront cost under the £36 contract, down from £99.99. Customers pay £19.99 upfront, down from £49.99, for the £41 tariff and the device is available for free on the £46 per month tariff.
O2 UK marketing and consumer director Sally Cowdry said: 'O2 On & On gives our customers the most value we’ve ever offered in a pay monthly tariff. Whether they’re choosing to stay with us or joining O2 for the first time, they’ll be able to talk and text as much as they like, while enjoying the internet on their mobile absolutely worry-free. And only O2 has the added value benefits of priority access to 4,000 acts a year with Priority Tickets and everyday offers and discounts with Priority Moments.'
The offer has also been extended to business customers and is available on a 24 month contract with a handset or a 12 month contract on a Sim-only basis. The price points range from £21.67 per month, excluding VAT, with a business customer keeping their current phone, or from £30 per month, excluding VAT, if they trade up to a new phone. Customers also get unlimited minutes and texts with 1GB of data.
O2 head of small business sales Claire Darley said: 'We believe that On & On will be the most competitive tariff in the SMB space for some while. O2 has been talking to small business customers and we know that they want better value from mobile networks, as well as simple tariffs. Devices like smartphones have revolutionised the way we do business because they enable us to stay constantly connected.
'These tools and technologies add an enormous amount of value, but also make cost management more complex. Small businesses want to know exactly what they are going to be paying each month to run their communications and connect their staff, suppliers and customers. On & On helps business customers to get the best of both worlds by keeping costs fixed while allowing employees to use their devices freely, without the worry of phone bills weighing them down.'
