Giffgaff signs first TV sponsorship deal

MVNO giffgaff will sponsor The Big Bang Theory and Rude Tube after signing its first sponsorship deal with Channel 4 and E4.

The ident for The Big Bang Theory will feature an enormous cake being blown up. Giffgaff members will be able to vote for what object gets blown up next through a dedicated Facebook application. The ident for Rude Tube will use the giffgaff logo in a mimicking of the most popular viral videos, such as planking. Both adverts were created by Albion.

Giffgaff head of brand and proposition Tom Rainsford said: 'Our TV debut is a very exciting step for us as a young and ambitious brand. Giffgaff brings a unique offering to the mobile sector and has built a thriving community that spans all age groups, but we’re always looking for new ways to reach different audiences.'
