Carphone Warehouse has launched a new range of accessories that work in sync with mobile apps.
Dubbed 'app-cessories', the products are available in around 15 stores, following a trial. They are grouped across health and fitness, home, in-car, fun and games, and music. The accessories will be rolled out to more than 150 stores by early May.
Among the products for sale is the FitBit, which tracks a user's everyday steps, stairs climbed and calories burned. The Griffin Beacon Remote acts as a universal remote control for smart televisions, Blu-Ray players and home audio systems.
Andrew Harrison, CEO of Carphone Warehouse said: 'Apps have become an integral part of many smartphone users’ daily lives. With millions of apps on the market, we want to show our further commitment to this exciting technology. Not only do we celebrate the best of the business in the Carphone Warehouse Appys, but now by also showcasing all the best gadgets and accessories available. Our App-cessories areas will help smartphone users enhance and make full use of their smartphone experience.'
