O2 splashes out £7m on new tariff promotion
O2 has launched a new television advert as part of a £7m marketing spend for its new On & On unlimited calls and text tariff.
The advert premiered on the operator's Facebook page today (5 April) and features a 30ft giant tap dispensing bubbles across a small town. The ad will make its television premiere during Britain's Got Talent on 7 April and will run for the next four weeks. Stills from the ad will run in press and outdoor advertising.
O2 became the latest operator to offer an unlimited package last week when it introduced its On & On tariff, offering unlimited calls, texts, and 1GB of data from £26 per month.
O2 marketing and consumer director Sally Cowdry said: 'O2 On & On gives our customers the most value we’ve ever offered in a pay monthly tariff. Whether they’re choosing to stay with us or joining O2 for the first time, they’ll be able to talk and text as much as they like, while enjoying the internet on their mobile absolutely worry-free.'
