Expansys launches new sites in Asia and Middle East

Online retailer Expansys has expanded into Asia and the Middle East, bringing the number of its own-brand sites to 51.

The retailer has launched sites in Thailand, the Philippines, Malaysia, Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Qatar. The websites are available in the appropriate local language with the product range tailored for each market.

Expansys CEO Anthony Catterson said: 'Our unique global infrastructure enables us to expand very efficiently into key strategic markets. The combined online population of the new countries in which we are opening is over 60 million people, and each of the markets has fast online growth characteristics, a young and dynamic consumer base and a love for consumer technology.

'Our growth into these markets at this time aligns us even more closely with the world class technology brands that are looking for direct access to consumers in emerging markets, and we look forward to bringing the benefits of our experience in the sector to our new customers and partners alike.'
