Phones 4u to cut support staff jobs

Phones 4u to cut support staff jobs

Phones 4u is to cut up to 12 jobs in the retailer's compliance team, Mobile has learned.

Staff learned of the proposed cuts today (23 April) but were told attempts would be made to redeploy them elsewhere in the business.

Phones 4u COO Nick Fisher told Mobile: 'In response to substantial improvements to the Phones 4u risk profile, I can confirm we are restructuring our compliance team which will affect a small number of employees. We are in the process of carrying out a consultation with those affected, and will endeavour to redeploy as many as possible within the Phones 4u Group.

'As a growing business that in the past year alone has opened 84 stores across the UK and created in excess of 500 new jobs, we will continue to look for ways to match business performance with improved operational efficiencies to provide the best possible customer experience.'
