O2 to provide free Wi-Fi to Costa Coffee
O2 has signed a deal to provide free Wi-Fi to Costa Coffee branches across the UK.
The deployment has already started in London. Customers across any network can use the service, which only requires a person to sign up once and provides 30 minutes of free Wi-Fi.
O2 WiFi MD Gavin Franks said: 'We are hugely excited to partner with Costa. Coffee shops are seen as the traditional heartland for public access Wi-Fi and Costa is the largest coffee chain in the UK. We have shown how our innovative models works in new contexts such as London Metro Wi-Fi and this deal shows that it also works in more traditional contexts. It shows that people and businesses want fast, reliable Wi-Fi that’s easy to use and free no matter who you are.'
Costa UK marketing director Kevin Hydes said: 'As people spend around half an hour in our stores, we are delighted to be partnering with O2 and providing our customers with 30 minutes of free Wi-Fi. Our Coffee Club members will be rewarded with unlimited access to further enhance their coffee shop experience.'
