Nokia primes two budget handsets for social users
Nokia has announced two new budget handsets targeted at young, urban consumers who want to connect online.
The Finnish manufacturer said the dual-Sim Nokia 110 and Nokia 112 handsets are able to connect to the internet thanks to a new browser that compresses websites in the cloud and allows consumers to use up to 90% less data. Both Facebook and Twitter are available from the home screens. Nokia is also offering 40 free EA games, and the devices come with support for up to 32GB of external memory.
The Nokia 110 will go on sale in Europe during the second quarter of 2012 for around €35 (£28). The Nokia 112 [pictured] will be available during the third quarter for €38 (£30).
Nokia executive VP for mobile phones Mary T. McDowell said: 'Today's mobile phone users want a quick internet experience that allows them to discover great content and share it with their friends - but without being held back by high data costs. The new Nokia 110 and Nokia 112 devices combine browsing, social media, apps, world-class entertainment and long battery life to create a great package for young, urban consumers who want to do it all.'
