Three teams up with Huawei for new MiFi unit
Three has teamed up with Huawei to launch a cheaper MiFi unit that allows customers to connect up to five WiFi-enabled devices.
No price or release date has been confirmed for the Huawei E5331 Value MiFi. The pocket-sized device has only one button and an LED screen displaying information like signal strength and battery life.
Three head of mobile broadband Mark Brewer said: 'As the market leader in mobile broadband it’s great to be able to bolster our range with yet another high-speed mobile Wi-Fi device. The Value MiFi offers fast browsing and a seamless streaming experience, all on Three’s award winning mobile broadband network.'
Huawei Device UK & Ireland executive VP Mark Mitchinson said: 'Huawei continues to lead and innovate in the mobile broadband space, our relationship with Three continues to flourish, and the new Huawei E5331 Value MiFi brings the speed and benefit of WiFi on-the-go to a whole new audience.'
Three already sells the Huawei E586 MiFi device.
