Phones 4u is experiencing ‘phenomenal’ demand for the Samsung Galaxy S III, which has become the retailer’s biggest selling handset of 2012 based on both pre-orders and first day sales across all 600 Phones 4u stores.
This includes sales from the recently launched Samsung PIN experience pop-ups in Westfield London (Shepherd's Bush) and Old Spitalfields Market, which are managed by Phones 4u.
The handset has also achieved the distinction of being Phones 4u’s most pre-ordered handset ever.
The Samsung Galaxy S III is available at Phones 4u on the retailer’s recently launched ‘JUMP’ contract, which allows consumers on Orange and Vodafone to upgrade their mobile phone as often as every six months.
Phones 4u CCO Scott Hooton said: ‘The demand for the Samsung Galaxy S III has been truly phenomenal both in the pre-order period and on launch day. First day trade was exceptionally strong in all stores and at the Samsung PINs. A high proportion of the sales made were via JUMP, with new customers starting up contracts and pre-existing JUMP customers also coming in store to take advantage of the flexible upgrade and get their hands on the Galaxy S III.’
The Samsung Galaxy S III is available in-store and online at Phones 4u for free on contracts starting from £36 per month.
