Nokia 'close to Vertu sale'

Nokia is reportedly close to selling its Vertu luxury phone arm to a Swedish private equity firm for around 200m.

Bloomberg quoted two people familiar with the matter, with one claiming the deal with EQT could be announced this week. Neither Nokia, EQT or Vertu commented on the reports.

Vertu has been up for sale for some time, as Nokia CEO Stephen Elop focuses on the business' turnaround strategy. The luxury phone arm is known for selling jewel-encrusted handsets for thousands of pounds.
