Samsung launches Galaxy Chat with touch-screen and keyboard

Samsung is launching a new Galaxy smartphone with a QWERTY keyboard in Europe later this month.

The manufacturer is targeting the Galaxy Chat at the value market and 'socially active users'. The device runs Android Ice Cream Sandwich and features a three-inch touch-screen as well as the keyboard.

Among the other features are a two-megapixel camera and 4GB of memory. The device comes preloaded with the Quickoffice app, allowing access to Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

The handset goes on sale in Spain this month and Samsung said it will be gradually rolled out to Europe, Latin America, Middle East, China, Southeast Asia, and Southwest Asia.
