Orange and T-Mobile start cross-selling broadband services

Orange and T-Mobile staff have started selling each other’s broadband services in store, Mobile understands.

The move could lead to additional Orange and T-Mobile products being cross-sold across their combined retail estate. Currently, the cross-selling programme means Orange fixed-line broadband can be purchased in T-Mobile stores while T-Mobile’s mobile broadband offer is available in Orange stores.

Thirty Everything Everywhere stores have been selling both Orange and T-Mobile products since last year and the operator has plans to further expand its store portfolio. It is creating 31 new Everything Everywhere stores by consolidating Orange and T-Mobile branches in close proximity to each other. The operator has been working for some time on unifying the back office functions of the two companies.

Meanwhile, reports this week suggested Everything Everywhere will launch as a consumer-facing brand this October. The operator is said to have hired Saatchi & Saatchi to spearhead an advertising campaign. The advertising firm already handles T-Mobile’s publicity. An Everything Everywhere spokesman refused to comment on the reports.
