Samsung readying new colours for Galaxy S III

Samsung has released a new range of colours for its flagship Galaxy S III smartphone.

A UK spokesperson for the manufacturer said that it would announce when British customers can get their hands on the device 'in due course'.

The four new colours are amber brown, garnet red, sapphire black and titanium grey. When the Galaxy S III launched in July, it was only available in pebble blue or white. Samsung said the new colours 'take their inspiration from the earth’s richest material'.

Minhyouk Lee, VP and head designer of the Galaxy S III at Samsung, said: 'Every inch of the Samsung Galaxy S III has been created to reflect the natural elements that inspired its ergonomic design, from the softly shaped curvature to the minimised bezel. By expanding the colour range of the Galaxy S III we are continuing to evolve the minimal organic design theme of the handset. The colour options we have added evoke the phone's emotional and natural aspects in a very simple but effective way.'
