LG has officially unveiled the Optimus L9, its latest L Series smartphone.
The Optimus L9 runs on the Android Ice Cream Sandwich operating system. It comes with a five-megapixel camera with LED flash, a VGA front-facing lens, 1GB RAM, 4GB internal storage and a 2150mAh battery.
The new device, which measures 131.9x68.2x9.1mm and weighs around 125g, features a 4.7-inch IPS display and is powered by a 1GHz dual-core processor.
On the connectivity front, the device supports 3G, W-iFi 802.11 b/g/n, DLNA, Bluetooth and GPS.
The Optimus L9 also features the Qtranslator app, which can translate text from 44 different languages using optical character recognition technology. Other features include Q Memo, My Style keypad and SiO+ technology.
The Optimus L9 is set to be launched in 40 countries in Europe, North America, Asia and Latin America from September. Pricing has yet to be revealed.
This launch of the latest addition to LG’s L Series follows the recent announcement of the Optimus G smartphone.
