Mobile retailer Fonehouse has taken on two new directors to help drive its push into the b2b sector.
The company has hired Deal Builder founder Russ Wheeler as its b2b director and Richard O’Quinn, former Dial-a-Phone marketing director, as web director.
Fonehouse MD Clive Bayley said: ‘Our b2b business has gained real traction since its launch in March and we want to take on as many b2b franchise partners as possible. We have around 10 b2b partners now with another 10 in training.’
Bayley said Fonehouse b2b franchise partners need to be driven and enthusiastic but do not necessarily need experience in the mobile industry since they will be able to build bespoke b2b tariffs for their customers using the Deal Builder software. Fonehouse b2b deals will be available on T-Mobile, Orange, Vodafone and O2.
Bayley said: ‘The Deal Builder software can construct the right deal very quickly – allowing someone without experience to build the best deal automatically.’
Fonehouse is also focusing on building consumer sales, with plans to roll out a further 10 Fonehouse stores before Christmas. However, Bayley said the total number of Fonehouse stores has remained static at around 50. ‘We are on a quality drive and have weeded out some franchisees in the process,’ he explained.
Fonehouse is also pressing ahead with its refurbishment programme, bringing the total number of new-look stores to 40 by the end of the year.
