Everything Everywhere teases on new brand and 4G

Everything Everywhere is expected to reveal details of its new brand and 4G services next week after announcing a press event.

Dubbed 'Brand New', the central London event will coincidentally take place on the first day that Everything Everywhere could launch a 4G service. Ofcom granted the operator permission to use its 1800MHz spectrum for 4G last month and 11 September is the earliest it could roll out next generation mobile services.

The operator said in its invite that it would reveal 'information on our new brand and the latest innovation in network technology'. Everything Everywhere will launch a new brand later this year to promote its 4G services, which will sit alongside Orange and T-Mobile. The operator's plans to launch a 4G service in 2012 has angered rivals, with suggestions O2 could launch legal action in a bid to halt the rollout.
