Apple reveals iPhone 5 pricing, slashes cost of other handsets
Apple has announced that the unlocked 16GB iPhone 5 will go on sale for £529, with the prices of the iPhone 4 and 4S cut.
Operators have yet to reveal their pricing plans but are expected to do so within the next 24 hours. The 32GB iPhone 5 is available for £599 SIM-free, while the 64GB version will cost consumers £699.
The entry-level iPhone 4S now costs £449, £50 cheaper than when it was launched last year. However, the iPhone 4 has had its price slashed the most, with the 8GB version now on sale for £319, £110 cheaper than previously. The entry-level iPhone 4 is the same price as the now discontinued iPhone 3GS.
