Samsung cuts partner deal for London Fashion Week

Samsung devices will be on show during London Fashion Week following a deal with the British Fashion Council (BFC) that sees Samsung Electronics become the official technology partner for the exhibition at London Fashion Week and for Vodafone London Fashion Weekend, held between 20–23 September.

In addition, Samsung will be the technology partner for designer Matthew Williamson’s show at London Fashion Week on 16 September.

Samsung devices, including the Galaxy Note 10.1 and Galaxy S III, will be used by key London Fashion Week staff on-site and at the concierge desks, as well as being made available for use in the press lounges and information points.

Samsung is also working with London Fashion Week to create a new dedicated rest and resource destination for all UK and international buyers, equipped with the new Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 devices preloaded with floor plans, designer listings and sales contacts.

The deal also gives Samsung on-site and online branding and signage, advertising and PR rights including the use of imagery across digital and POS materials, branding on marketing materials, gifting opportunities, presence on social media sites and an allocation of tickets.

Simon Stanford, VP of Samsung UK & Ireland's telecommunications and networks division, said: ‘Thousands of people attend London Fashion Week every year – so we want to use this opportunity to highlight our range of devices to this audience.

‘Technology is becoming more deeply linked with the creative processes of fashion designers and our devices offer a unique blend of creativity and productivity. We hope this collaboration will take Samsung’s position within fashion to new heights.’
