LG Electronics has exclusively revealed to Mobile its partnership with A1 Comms/Go Mobile, which will see the provider ranging LG’s latest lineup of handsets from the fourth quarter onwards.
LG said it would strongly support the collaboration with A1 Comms, which it described as one of the UK’s leading independent mobile communication providers.
The product portfolio ranged by A1 Comms will include the chic L-Style series of handsets, the Optimus L3 and Optimus L7, which represent LG’s new design identity for 2012. LG said the new devices were inspired by the design heritage handed down from successful models such as the Chocolate, Shine and Prada by LG 3.0. L-Style reflects LG’s new design philosophy, which it said is to deliver unique style without compromising on technological innovations. A1 Comms/Go Mobile will also range the LG Optimus 4X HD, the manufacturer’s first quad-core device that provides the power of a PC in the palm of the hand.
The devices will be sold by A1 Comms in its 100 Go Mobile franchise stores, Asda Phone Shops and online. A1 Comms MD Paul Sisson said: ‘We are delighted to be working with LG Mobile, renowned for its impressive portfolio of handsets that provide compelling user experiences and great value. When selecting their ideal package, we are confident that our customers will enjoy the benefits of a wider selection of choice offered by the LG range.’
LG Mobile will directly supply A1 Comms and will support this new initiative with its full array of field marketing expertise and in-store solutions.
Andrew Coughlin, UK head of mobile for LG Electronics, said: ‘We are very excited about this partnership as it reflects our mutual desire to bring great value and choice to consumers.‘We are looking forward to working closely with A1 Comms to showcase our latest mobile range and will announce exciting new initiatives across the coming months.‘A1 Comms has grown into a large retail estate, now only behind Carphone Warehouse and Phones 4u. We have not set any targets yet as we want to make sure this joint venture is strong as possible.’
