Samsung has signed a sponsorship deal for Robbie Williams' forthcoming album and tour, Take The Crown.
Consumers will be given access to exclusive content from the singer across a range of Samsung devices, including the Samsung Galaxy Note II (pictured), which went on sale today (1 October).
As part of the partnership, Samsung customers will be sent messages from the singer, behind the scenes footage and key moments from his tour through a bespoke app. Samsung's brand will be advertised across the tour, from digital and point of sale materials to venue and digital branding. The manufacturer will also have access to signed merchandise and Williams' social media fanbase. The deal follows the manufacturer's partnership with The X Factor, which was signed last week. Samsung also sponsored Take That's Progress Live tour in 2011.
Simon Stanford, vice-president of telecommunications and networks for UK and Ireland, said: 'Samsung is thrilled to be working with Robbie Williams again. We had a great time getting to know him last year during our sponsorship of ‘Progress Live’ so to be able to build on that relationship is fantastic news, not just for us, but for our customers and partners. So many of our customers are music fans, so this is a great opportunity for us to bring what they love straight to them, through exclusive content and access to one of the UK’s most well-known and loved music artists.'
