Teams battle to avoid knockout in Product Mastermind

The first round of Product Mastermind has entered its final 48 hours, with retailers and operators fiercely battling to get through to the next round.

Four product experts from 3 Retail, O2, Vodafone, T-Mobile, Tesco, Orange, Phones  4u and Carphone Warehouse are currently taking the first knockout quiz. On Friday (12 October), the best four performing teams will go through to the next round. Looking at the state of play to date, it looks like 3 Retail, O2, Vodafone and Phones 4u will progress.

However, the four teams who will be knocked out could still make the final. They will go into a wildcard vote that means they could get a second chance of winning the competition. The results of who goes through, and who leaves the competition, will be available on the Mastermind website from Friday.

The competition does not stop with the panel. Everyone in the team makes a difference to the scores by taking the Rewards Quiz and interacting on ISellMobile. When users comment on an article, start a discussion or even upload a photo to their profile page they will gain points that unlock bonus questions for their company’s team and earn the chance to win prizes. We are also giving away an Xbox 360 and a copy of Tekken Tag Tournament 2 so winners can go head to head with their friends and family too. Shop and call centre staff will still be able to compete for prizes even if their company drops out of the knockout competition on Friday.

But with 48 hours left in this round, there is still time for staff to make a difference by getting involved and showing their support for their team today.
