Three seeking to create 800 jobs during next two years

Three is on a recruitment drive, aiming to create 800 jobs across the UK during the next two years.

The operator is looking to hire 380 sales and support jobs in Glasgow, part of a £3m project to upgrade its office and provide additional space for new hires. Three already employs 550 staff in the city and is seking 340 outbound sales advisors and 40 managers and support staff. Scottish Enterprise is contributing £1.8m to support the expansion and Skills Development is funding £270,000 worth of training.

Three chief executive Dave Dyson, said: 'As the UK's fastest growing mobile company, we are experiencing a surge in demand for smartphones and we're supporting that with a network that delivers a great internet experience.

'We have ambitious plans for growth and the expanded team in Scotland has a huge role to play in realising them. Glasgow's can-do attitude has made it a natural choice.'

Three is also looking to add 400 staff to its retail operations across the UK and its Maidenhead head office.
