Apple told by judges to rewrite Samsung statement

Apple has been told by UK judges to rewrite a statement on its website that said Samsung did not copy the design of its iPad.

Last month, the iPad maker was told to publish the statement after losing a case where it had claimed Samsung's Galaxy Tab devices infringed its own designs. However, Samsung claimed the original statement did not comply with the court order.

According to the BBC, Apple's lawyer asked for 14 days to post the replacement statement. Lord Justice Longmore replied: 'We are just amazed that you cannot put the right notice up at the same time as you take the other one down.'

Judge Sir Robin Jacob added: 'I would like to see the head of Apple [Tim Cook] make an affidavit about why that is such a technical difficulty for the Apple company.'
