Lifestyle Services Group (LSG) has confirmed it has won a contract to provide insurance for EE.
The multi-year agreement will cover insurance claims assessments, handset repair and replacements, delivery, customer services and consultancy for Britain's largest operator. Allianz will underwrite the programme, which will cover EE, Orange and T-Mobile customers. LSG had previously provided insurance for the Orange Care brand.
Mobile revealed last month that LSG was close to signing a deal with the operator. Chris Male, head of care for added value products at EE, said: 'It is important that we provide a wide range of premium insurance products so that we can ensure our customers are offered the very best service. EE has developed a strong working relationship with LSG and Allianz and we are pleased to build on this partnership and preserve the quality of our customers’ experience.'
Andy Morris, business development director at LSG, said: 'It is a great privilege to be working in partnership with EE and Allianz to provide the next generation of mobile phone insurance, and delighted to be recognised for our expertise in this market. As the largest provider of mobile phone insurance in the UK we understand how central mobile phones have become to our everyday lives and how important it is for us to offer a fast and personalised service to support an EE customer when they need us most.'
