HTC vs iPhone
HTC has launched a touch-screen smartphone with a new user interface designed to put the Apple iPhone in the shade.
The device, called Touch, is being backed by Orange and T-Mobile under HTC’s own brand, as Orange ditches the SPV name. Touch will be in stores this month and will be free on some contracts, and around £305 Sim-free. The touch-screen will allow users to ‘slide and sweep’ through a 3D user interface.
The handset will be available in Europe and the US, before Apple launches its iPhone in the US. COO of distributor Dangaard Michaél Køehn Milland said: ‘I think it’s a brilliant device with a very good interface. We’re proud to be one of the distributors – it bridges both retail and enterprise.’
