TalkTalk Mobile added 35,000 mobile customers to its mobile base in Q3, bringing the total number of mobile customers to 152,000.
The company said contract customers made up around 50% of its mobile customer base at the end of the quarter to December 31 2012.
This follows strong growth in Q2 which saw TalkTalk Mobile add 32,000 new customers.
TalkTalk attributed the growth to its simple tariffs and handset range, which it said was driving ‘strong demand.’
The company added contract and handset deals in August last year. TalkTalk Mobile offers three contracts – Large, Medium and Small, starting from £5 a month.
Dido Harding, chief executive of TalkTalk said: ‘We have returned our total customer base to growth for the first time in three years – an important milestone on our journey to become a growing and more profitable business.
‘We successfully launched TV and mobile handsets this summer and the growth in take-up by both existing and new customers underlines the scale of opportunity we see in these additional products. With good trading momentum across the business, we have entered the final quarter strongly focused on execution.'
