Tesco Mobile appoints new chief marketing officer
Tesco Mobile has hired an O2 executive as its new chief marketing officer.
Simon Groves was formerly head of brand, marketing and customer experience strategy at the operator. Tesco Mobile's MVNO runs on the O2 network. Groves was responsible for O2's UK brand and marketing strategy.
In his new role at Tesco, Groves will be in charge of all customer facing marketing and brand activities. He will report Roger Fogg, CEO of Tesco Mobile.
Fogg said: 'We are delighted that Simon is joining the team. Simon brings to Tesco Mobile a proven track record of success in brand development and delivering great customer experiences. 'We welcome Simon to Tesco Mobile and hope that his appointment demonstrates our commitment to fresh thinking and putting customers at the heart of everything we do.'
