voda's consumer 3G
Vodafone has released its first own brand 3G device for the consumer market.
The Vodafone 710 will carry the operator's logo but not that of the manufacturer, Huawei Technologies. It signed a deal with the China-based manufacturer in February.
Vodafone has previously made own brand handsets only for the business market using manufacturer HTC, suggesting that the 710 will be targeted at lower-end 3G users.
The device will be available in Vodafone stores only from October.
